Nicole BROUSSE
Sculpture
A female sculptor and sculptor of women, trained at the École des Beaux-Arts in Marseille
She views her work as a journey through time, from antiquity to the future, crossing civilizations and cultures through her own inner voyage. Her initial sculptures are made of smoked stoneware, and then she begins working with bronze, concrete, and composite materials.
She creates female torsos and, from the 1990s onwards, female bodies that are sometimes warriors, sometimes serene and enigmatic.
Since 2007, Nicole Brousse has been developing her "journey," consisting of 20 to 30 sculptures, a true concept that she adapts infinitely to the proposed locations, inhabiting spaces, places, gardens, and cities. "Her sculptures come to life." The symbolism and spirituality inherent in her creations immerse us in an initiatory and magical journey, inviting us to "Rebirth to oneself."
